La Union… a reunion place! BAUANG, LA UNION April 3-4, 2013 I traveled about a week ago! This time I am heading north of Luzon, my destination is Bauang, La Union. About two (2)decades ago, since I had my last contact with my dearest friend in high school.  And finally I got to see her again with her three (3) beautiful grown up kids! (Thanks to social media networking, that links us together again). Bauang, La Union is not that far. It is just six (6) hours away from Quezon City.  It was a nice “breathing space” from the noisy, crowded, polluted and busy metropolis. It is a place where I can easily relax my mind, simply by just looking around the green fields under the mango tree. mango trees behind the house (I am sorry was not able to capture the tree so  I hope the fruits will do!) Enjoy the moment chatting with an old friend along the bay, because there are a lot of things to catch up. Relax... Breathe... Rejuvenate...

COTABATO CITY, a real life experience… (‎SOCCSKSARGEN‎, Region XII) March 31- April 4, 2012 A lmost everyone believes that Mindanao (Southern Philippines) is a dangerous place to go… it is stigma created by longtime armed conflict in that place, so a lot of friends will say, “why go there, it’s a Muslim region… it must be unsafe for Christians.” Police Camp (nearby) I dismiss thoughts like this.  I am not afraid to travel.  I love to travel.  Chances are I can even dare go to the most remote places. The airport in Cotabato City is located in Maguindanao – a place made infamous by the gruesome political massacre way back in 2009, just a few months before the National elections in 2010. We traveled just few kilometers away going to the hotel where we are going to stay. Along the road, we basically see a lot of uniformed men – i.e. along the ‘check point’ areas.   The road is a little bit rough, which is

Regina Rosarii Institute for Contemplation in Asia Tanay, Rizal September 18, 2011 About a year ago, I had the chance to meet an old friend. Unexpectedly, we reached a place where we can have peace of mind, reckoning, and a real place for spiritual reflection.  Yes, on the mountain top… in Tanay Rizal. W e have the old saying, “if there’s a will there’s a way!”  It may be passé for others but for me it is absolutely true. 9am – when we started travelling. The destination?  It is unknown to me and my friend Agnes.  Only her brother, Kuya Rodel knows where we’re going. About 20miles away from my friend’s house, the clutch diaphragm exploded.  We were using an AUV manual transmission van, of course we have to stop and we waited for at least an hour until the rescue team came. In just 30mins or so we hit the road again. Ka-Boom! Few minutes from the point where we stopped… or maybe about 5-7miles away, the radiator’s water tank
